Mysore Pak as its name suggests is a renowned sweet from Mysore. Though its taste is so
exquisite it does have just three main ingredients – besan (chickpea flour), ghee (clarified
butter) and sugar.
This smooth sweet was developed in the royal kitchen of Mysore Palace thus it’s derived its
name “Mysore Pak”. In this ‘pak’ or ‘paka’ denotes to sugar syrup as the besan (chickpea flour)
is cooked in ghee along with the hot sugar syrup.
